PASTOR'S MESSAGE

First Baptist Church has been a lighthouse for Groveton and the surrounding communities since 1858. It's mission has always been to point a lost and dying world to Jesus Christ. This is the mission given not only to the church as a whole, but, also to all it's members and to every Christian around the world. God has blessed First Baptist in many ways. He has always met our needs and will continue to do so as long as we remain faithful to our mission.

I am priviledged to serve as pastor of First Baptist Church, and follow in the footsteps of many faithful servants who have gone before me. It has been a blessing to continue to build on the foundation that has been established by them and the many faithful members who have passed through the doors of First Baptist.

My prayer is that we will be found faithful to the calling that has been placed before us. May the footprints that we leave point others to believe and follow the One who is always faithful, our Lord Jesus Christ.
